Oh man, there is something so special about going back to school. One of my favorite parts of this time of year is filling my kids' backpacks (super cute ones like this one from Amazon), with school supplies that inspire creativity and learning. School supplies, but make it cute.

We have a tradition in our family where Dada gets each kid a new backpack every fall. It is so magical to see their excitement when their favorite guy picks one he knows they will love. My colleague and I, who teach in higher education, still love to buy ourselves a new notebook and pen for the first week of school. Something about it brings me back to that fresh pencil smell of my childhood. Are these notebooks for the kids, or mom? Might have to steal them...
